First and foremost, Dean suggests keeping two keywords in mind when redecorating: seamless and stylish. Here are her top predictions for what's set to be on-trend in the coming year:

1. Boucle fabric: Many of us are currently craving a multisensory palette, and designers are responding by using materials that bring tactility to interiors and create emotional responses. Boucle, a yarn with a looped or curled ply, is a particularly popular choice for designers at the moment. This fabric has a gorgeous weave and evokes a very Chanel-like luxury. It works best on soft, rounded pieces of furniture, but is also popular as throws and cushions.
